We’re Malyck and Jaimee, and we’re so excited (and incredibly grateful) to be stepping into the next chapter of this business, now proudly named Mountain Ash Wildlife Supplies.

For us, this isn’t just about running a wildlife supplies store. It’s about being part of something bigger.

We’re wildlife carers ourselves, so we understand firsthand what this work truly involves; the late nights, the early mornings, the emotional highs and heartbreaks, the constant cleaning, feeding, monitoring, and hoping. We know what it feels like to worry over a fragile joey, to celebrate a first successful feed, and to hold our breath during a release. Because we live it too.

That lived experience shapes everything we want this business to be. We don’t just supply products, we understand why they matter, when they’re needed urgently, and how important reliability and quality are in those critical moments.

One thing we’ve learned through caring is that so much knowledge lives within the wildlife community itself. Over time, carers trial various products, adapt techniques, and quietly discover what truly works best.

We want to bridge that gap. We’re committed to reaching out, listening, and learning from other carers about what works and what doesn’t. Our goal is to make those tried-and-tested supplies easily accessible, so others don’t have to spend years figuring it out alone.

When it came time to choose a new name, Mountain Ash felt right. The Mountain Ash stands tall through storms, bushfires, and seasons of change; deeply rooted, resilient, and vital to the ecosystem around it. That’s what we hope this business will be: strong, dependable, and supportive of the community that depends on it.
